Exercise A: Answers, of course, will vary, but here are mine:
1. Martha and Ted met secretly over several weeks and conspired to make the surprise party the best one ever!
2. A lot of people think that the shooting of American President John F. Kennedy was the work of one man only, but others believe that it was the work of a conspiracy of powerful men.
3. Su Min was so happy at the surprise party that she gave a speech thanking the conspirators, Martha and Ted, for keeping it such a tightly-held secret.
4. I love to play hockey and one day I aspire to play in the NHL.
5. It is my greatest aspiration to play professional hockey.
6. One day, I was finally invited to the Canucks' training camp, along with thirty other hopeful aspirants.
7. We need to use this coupon before Friday, because it will expire.
8. Oh, don't buy that sandwich--it's past it's expriation date, and you might get food poisoning.
9. One reason I hate PE class is that I always perspire so much when I exercise, and I hate that smelly, damp feeling.
10. The habanero peppers were so hot that I could feel the perspiration beading up on my forehead.
